Our Story
David Hartley founded Hartley & Co in 2012, after a decade learning his trade as a cabinet maker in workshops across North London. He believed a kitchen should be built the way furniture used to be built — with hand-selected timber, precision joints, and a level of finish that improves with age rather than falling apart. That belief has not changed.
The studio has grown carefully since then. James joined as lead installer with a City & Guilds qualification earned on some of the most demanding projects in the capital. Sarah Chen, our design consultant, creates the 3D renders that let clients see their kitchen before work begins. Together, this small team has installed more than four hundred kitchens across North London — each one designed, built, and fitted to a standard we are proud to put our name on.
